Leadership Coaching

For leading self and others

Self-Leadership - it's where Leadership begins.

How can a leader positively influence others without first having a positive influence on herself / himself?

We help you:

  • Take stock of who and where you are today on your path

  • Build a Personal Leadership Identity including, for example, strengths, personal values, mission, and vision

  • Enhance ability in self-awareness and self-management - the 2 pillars of emotional intelligence

  • Incorporate (further) practices of mindfulness into daily life

  • Develop authentic leadership presence

Self-leadership begins with self-awareness. Michele Nevarez sums it up in a few words:

"Self-awareness is key in a leader's ability to consistently generate positive and meaningful results - in work and in life."

Leadership - it's about inspiring and empowering others to work together to fulfill a vision in a workplace characterized by constant, fast-paced change.

Today's world of work is commonly described as "VUCA": volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. How can a leader effectively respond to the needs of today's workforce in this environment?

We help you:

  • Gain perspective on your role and work

  • Enhance ability in social awareness and relationship management - the 2 pillars of social intelligence

  • Build a repertoire of emotionally-intelligent people leadership styles

  • Develop the leadership "soft" skills necessary to close performance gaps

  • Create and foster more resonant relationships at work

  • Become an effective champion for organizational change initiatives

  • Embody the values, mission, and vision of the organization

The nature of leadership as summed up by Daniel Goleman:

“In the sense that leaders influence or guide people toward a shared goal, leadership is widely distributed.

Whether within a family, on social media, or in an organization or society as a whole, we are all leaders in one way or another.”

Coaching for People Who Coach

Cultivate your presence and practice

The coach’s #1 coaching tool is the coach (herself / himself).

Whether part of a people leader’s job duties or practiced as a profession by a credentialed coach or a coach-in-training, coaching is both a rewarding and demanding activity requiring a high quality of presence and practice. Without a doubt, the most effective coaches are those who continue to develop themselves and care for their well-being.

We help you by:

  • Acting as a sounding board

  • Stimulating self-reflection on your practice

  • Cultivating mindful presence and your unique coaching posture leveraging what’s best in you

  • Supporting the development of new or existing competencies

  • Sharing models, tools, and practices

  • Providing observations and / or feedback

  • Accompanying your preparation for coaching certification or ICF ACC credentialing

  • Providing personal branding services

Strengths Coaching

Start from a place of strength(s)

We are people of multiple strengths.

What do we mean by strengths? It depends on how “strength” is defined. Strengths may be considered as internal resources only - such as the 24 VIA character strengths, soft skills (aka “leadership” skills), personal values - or the definition may be expanded to include external resources accessible to us in our surroundings or via our personal and professional networks,

However, in a world that places much attention and importance on identifying and correcting weaknesses, we often overlook or simply do not recognize our strengths and therefore cannot fully leverage them.

We help you:

  • Become aware of the strengths most important to you

  • Become aware of your VIA character strengths including signature, middle, and lesser strengths (see the VIA Survey on the Assessments page)

  • Build a portfolio of strengths most relevant to your career and goals

  • Apply your strengths in a more intentional manner to achieve your goals and aspirations

  • Put your character strengths to work with your colleagues, direct reports, students, family, friends, and clients

  • Utilize your character strengths to reinforce your mindfulness practices and / or utilize your mindfulness practices to boost your character strengths (according to the Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice program)

“Tiny tweaks can lead to big changes.”
